Bendorf is a municipality in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein .

Community structure

The municipality of Bendorf consists of the two villages Bendorf and Oersdorf and the smaller districts of Keller, Lohmühle, Hohenhörn, Wassermühle, Oersdorfer Viert, Scharfenstein and Bendorfer Feld.

Geography and traffic

Bendorf is located about 22 km southeast of Heide in a wooded area. The federal highway 23 runs southwest from Hamburg to Heide.

Community representation

Of the nine seats in the municipal council, the KWG Oersdorf community of voters has three seats since the 2018 local elections, and the KWG Bendorf community of voters six.

The municipality has had a coat of arms approval since 1984, the design of the coat of arms comes from Herbert Kaulbarsch from Bargteheide. Blazon : “Divided by green and silver obliquely to the left in a wave cut. A silver horse's head at the top, a red mill wheel at the bottom. ”Flag approval has been in place since 2002.

economy

The municipal area is predominantly agricultural, but there are also some businesses. There is a stud in the Keller district.
