Thaden is a municipality in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein . Batz, Jarsdorf, Katzheide and Osterholzteich are in the municipality.

Geography and traffic

Thaden is located about 25 km southeast of Heide in a rural area. The Kiel Canal runs north of the municipality , about 11 km south of the federal highway 430 from Neumünster in the direction of Meldorf and about 12 km southwest of the federal highway 23 from Hamburg to Heide.
