The Danish Wohld office is an office in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in the east of the state of Schleswig-Holstein . It is located on the Danish Wohld peninsula and is bordered to the south by the Kiel Canal .
The office was formed as part of administrative structural reforms on April 1, 1970, expanded on January 1, 1979 to include the Neudorf-Bornstein community and on January 1, 2008 to include the formerly free community of Gettorf . Since then the office has consisted of the eight municipalities mentioned.
Since April 1st, 2008 Matthias Hannes Meins has been the official director of the Danish Welfare Office. Kurt Arndt (SPD) has been the head of the office since the 2013 local elections.
