Location of the Molfsee office in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district | ||
The Molfsee office is an office in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein and comprises the following six municipalities:
history
With the division of the districts after the annexation of Schleswig-Holstein by Prussia , the Molfsee Office was founded in 1867. Molfsee was chosen as the official seat, although Blumenthal had more inhabitants at the time. The decisive factor was the better road connection to Molfsee ( Altona-Kieler Chaussee ). At first it belonged to the Bordesholm district , after its dissolution in 1932 it became the Rendsburg district (today Rendsburg-Eckernförde). Since the municipality of Molfsee exceeded the 5000-inhabitant limit in 1984 and thus needed its own administration, the official business has been carried out by this municipality since then.
