Bernd Küpperbusch (born June 18, 1955 in Kettwig ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 2012 to 2014 he was State Secretary in the Albig cabinet .

Life

Küpperbusch joined the German Navy in 1972 after completing his school education . From 1977 the Foreign Ministry assigned him to the German Embassy in London , where he worked until 1981. He then returned to the German Navy.

In 1984 he switched to the service of the State of Schleswig-Holstein and studied in Hildesheim at the University of Applied Sciences for Administration and Justice . As a judicial officer , he worked from 1987 to 1993 at the District Court Kiel , was then the Ministry of Justice operates and in 1995 Personal Secretary to Heide Simonis , the Prime Minister of Schleswig-Holstein.

In 2001 he moved to the Ministry of Economics, Science and Transport. In 2003 Küpperbusch was elected to the Wasbek council. From 2007 he was a consultant at the Ministry of Justice and Europe and from 2009 headed the coordination office for European, Baltic and North Sea affairs in the State Chancellery.

From June 2012 to September 2014 Küpperbusch was State Secretary in the Ministry of the Interior of Schleswig-Holstein.

Küpperbusch is married and has two children.
