Flowing lakes Rodenbeker pond

The Rodenbek is a left tributary of the Alster and, together with Bredenbek and Lottbek as well as other smaller brooks, forms the meltwater flow system in the Rodenbeker Quellenental , which was formed during the Vistula Ice Age .

Like the other rivers in the Quellenental, the Rodenbek also flows in an east-west direction to the Alster, a tributary of the Elbe .

In addition to the fish species found in the Alster , tadpoles , Moderlieschen , hazel and sticklebacks were observed in the Rodenbek . The 2.8 hectare idyllic Rodenbeker ponds overgrown with water lilies are owned by the Sportfischerverein Rahlstedt von 1934 e. V. managed and stocked with carp, tench, pike, perch and eel.
