history
The place Albersdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1281 as "Aluerdesdorpe". The name stands for "Dorf des Athhal- or Altwart", which refers to the Wart or guardian of a noble family. Albersdorf was an early stronghold of National Socialism . The NSDAP received 73.5 percent of the vote in the Reichstag election in Albersdorf in July 1932 . In the Reichstag election in March 1933 in the parish of Albersdorf, 87.8% voted for the NSDAP, 8.2% for the DNVP , 1.6% for the SPD and 1.0% for the KPD, with a turnout of 91.6%. On March 29, 1933, Adolf Hitler was unanimously made an honorary citizen of Albersdorf. A tourist noticed during research that Hitler's honorary citizenship had not been revoked. This was only lifted on September 21, 2009 - also unanimously.
On April 1, 1934, the parish of Albersdorf was dissolved. All of their villages, village communities and farmers became independent communities / rural communities, including their main town, Albersdorf.
armed forces
For around 44 years, from 1963 to 2007, Albersdorf was a notable location for the Bundeswehr. After a new property was built between 1960 and 1963 at Schrumer Weg 2, the first soldiers moved in in 1963, and in 1964 it was named Dithmarsen-Kaserne . The last soldiers left the place at the end of 2007, but 20 civilian posts of the so-called field support of the Bundeswehr Service Center (BwDLZ) in Itzehoe remained on site. According to the decisions made in 2011, these posts will be halved as part of the reduction in the Bundeswehr and responsibility for the employees at Schrumer Weg 1 goes to the BwDLZ Plön . Since the number of posts is falling below 15, the Bundeswehr will no longer speak of a location in the future.
Four boulders with the coats of arms of former units were set up in a small facility at the train station (Lage) : ABC / Abwehrkompanie 6, two field / observation artillery battalion 61 (one colored, one made of metal), Albersdorf (ABC Abwehrbataillon 610).

Churches
The Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Remigius with a chapel in Schafstedt as a branch church belongs to Albersdorf .
The St. Remigius Church dates from the 12th / 13th centuries. Century. The stone church in Romanesque style is named after St. Remigius, the former bishop of the city of Reims in what is now France. Over the centuries there have been a large number of conversions, which are still indicated today by the different building materials and the way they are processed. The reasons for this include two major fires in 1594 and 1866 and a renovation of the church in 1963.
Today, the neo-Gothic, wood-clad tower from the 19th century is particularly eye-catching. A special feature of this is the large church clock with a wooden dial, as it is the only one of its kind in the Schleswig-Holstein area . Outside, along the old stone wall, you can still find a number of tombstones that date from the 17th to 19th centuries. Inside the church, visitors can admire the pulpit carved around 1621 by Hans Peper from Rendsburg and the altar built around 1645. The oldest possession of the church, however, is the richly decorated late Gothic bronze baptismal font from 1470.
