Life

In 1597, Hans Peper worked five reliefs, which were integrated into the pulpit of the Friedrichsberg Church in Schleswig in 1650. Also in 1597 he created the pulpit of the Marienkirche in Rendsburg, which he made for the second time in 1621 after the pulpit was destroyed by a vault. In addition, epitaphs in the Marienkirche are ascribed to him. The baptismal font of this church from 1620 is also his work. In 1603 he made the rood screen or the choir grille in the Meldorfer Cathedral . In 1609 he carved the altar of the Katharinenkirche in Süderstapel . In 1610 the epitaph Soltau was created for the Schleswig Cathedral . The pulpit of the collegiate church in Bützow , created in 1617 as a gift from Prince Ulrich of Denmark , is also attributed to him. In 1618 the pulpit for the Severin Church in Hademarschen was built , which was completely destroyed by fire in 2003, and in 1621/22 the pulpit for the church in Albersdorf .

The cover of the baptism in Schwabstedt and the pulpit there (1606), also a donation from Prince Ulrich, the very similar pulpits of the churches in Katharinenheerd (1612) and Marne (1603), and epitaphs in the Nikolaikirche are also attributed to the vicinity of his workshop in Kiel and in the Meldorfer Dom.
