Museum of Archeology and Ecology Dithmarschen
The Museum of Archeology and Ecology Dithmarschen is a museum with two main focuses on archeology and ecology in the Dithmarschen district in Schleswig-Holstein .
The museum was founded in 1904 as a museum for Dithmarsch prehistory in Heide . In 2003 the museum was moved to the building of the former train station hotel of the city of Albersdorf . In 2005 the museum was opened under the name Museum for Archeology and Ecology Dithmarschen . The permanent exhibition deals with the development of mankind in correlation with the landscape since the Stone Age. In addition to this permanent exhibition, there are always current exhibitions on the subject of archeology and ecology, such as: "The Riesewohld - Dithmarschen's KultUrwald" in the second episode. The museum also works together with the open-air facility Archaeological-Ecological Center Albersdorf .
