politics

Community representation

coat of arms

Blazon : "In green a slanting left silver wave bar, accompanied above by three golden oak leaves in the position 2: 1, below by a slanted, floating golden three-mountain."

The three golden oak leaves in the coat of arms remind of the composition of the community from the three districts Rehm (in the north), Flehde (in the west) and Bargen (in the south of the community). The oak leaves refer to deer, which means as much as forest strips , which was probably the case in earlier times and is also relevant again, as extensive reforestation was carried out in the entire municipal area in the 1980s and 1990s . In addition, a watercourse is represented by the silver wave bar, which symbolizes the district of Flehde (“Fließ” in the sense of “watercourse”) and the district of Bargen (location on the Geestrücken ) is represented by the Dreiberg. The green shield color symbolizes the agricultural structure of the place.
