Dingen is a municipality in the south of the Dithmarschen district in Schleswig-Holstein .

The community of Dingen is about halfway between Sankt Michaelisdonn and Brunsbüttel on the state road 138 from Meldorf to Eddelak north of Eddelak.

The community consists of the districts of Dingen, Dingerdonn, Friedrichshof, Kämpenberg and Sandhayn.

Neighboring communities are the communities Sankt Michaelisdonn , Quickborn , Kuden , Eddelak , Ramhusen and Volsemenhusen (all in the district of Dithmarschen), starting clockwise in the north .

history

The history of the community of Dingen is closely linked to the Friedrichshof . From 1576 onwards, the Friedrichshof was a noble estate for a short time, but it was taken over by the Danish king in 1579 (Süderdithmarschen was the king's land) and initially served as the official residence of the royal governor. Later the "marshland, Geest and moorland" were parceled out and taken over by the community of things.

On April 1, 1934, the parish land parish Eddelak was dissolved. All of their village communities, village communities and farmers became independent communities / rural communities, things like that.
