Magic pockets

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Magic Pockets is a computer game by the Bitmap Brothers . The game was released in 1991 for Amiga , Acorn Archimedes and Atari ST and in 1992 for MS-DOS on 3.5-inch floppy disk. Many gamers saw a strong resemblance to Gods , which was released by the same game developers just months earlier.

description

The game is a kind of platformer with a special attack technique. The hero of the game is the Bitmap Kid , a little boy with a baseball cap and sunglasses. Depending on the level, he throws whirlwinds, rain clouds or snowballs out of his trouser pocket in order to turn his opponents into worthwhile items. These can either be used for completing points or saved for certain extras, such as a coffee cup that increases the firing frequency, the teleporter to secret rooms or extra lives. There are also other weapons such as a helmet with a built-in laser cannon. The higher levels can be accessed directly with level codes that you receive after successfully completing a level.
