Maguzawa

The Maguzawa are the formerly "pagan" segment of the Hausa society of northern Nigeria. As such, they are identical to the Azna . One calls the Azna "Maguzawa Hausa people" to indicate the fact that they in the category of Islamic acceptable ahl al-dhimma , the wards include the Muslims.
