Magyar Északnyugati helyi érdekű vasút
The Magyar Északnyugati helyi érdekű vasút , Magyar Északnyugati HÉV for short (Slovak: Uhorská severozápadna miestna železnica , literally German: Hungarian Northwestern Vizinalbahn ) was a railway company in Hungary whose routes were in what is now Slovakia . The company's routes represented an important east-west connection from South Moravia to Budapest , which bypassed the Pozsony junction ( Pressburg , today: Bratislava). The company was established after 1918 as a result of the establishment of Czechoslovakia nationalized.
