Meal (field measure)
The meal was an old field measure in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland . The measure was characterized by two different values.
When the field was measured
- 1 meal = 400 square fathoms = 17 ⅔ ares
Was when measuring vineyards
- 1 meal = 250 square fathoms = 11 1/40 ares
