Mai Cocopelli (* 1975 in Upper Austria ) is an Austrian children's songwriter and music teacher.

Life

The musician from Lake Attersee (Austria) has performed German-language children's songs since the 1990s . During this time, 12 albums were created. Since 2007, the composer and multi-instrumentalist has won the WDR and Unicef ​​children's song competition in Cologne, and in 2010 and 2017 the ISC (International Songwriting Competition) in Nashville / USA. In 2014 she received the German Rock and Pop Prize for the best children's song album for her space CD .

She has been writing songs for children since she was 15. She was trained as a kindergarten teacher and studied the two main subjects elementary music education and guitar at Bruckner University .
