The Maico GS 175 was a motorcycle from the Maico vehicle factory in Ammerbuch - Pfäffingen . It was built as a motocross from 1956 to 1959 .

Technical specifications

The Maico GS 175 has a wind-cooled Maico single-cylinder two-stroke engine with a displacement of 173 cm³ (bore / stroke: 61 × 59.5 mm) and battery ignition. The maximum output was 15  hp . The rear wheel was driven via a four-speed gearbox and chain. The GS 175 weighed 122 kg ready to drive. The purchase price at the time of construction was 1,930 D-Marks . The German Motocross Championship in 1956 in the class up to 175 cc was dominated by Maico: the first 10 places were achieved by drivers on GS 175. At the same time, a street version, the Maico MC 175, was offered with the same performance.
