Maja Ilisch

Maja Ilisch (* 1975 in Dortmund ) is a German TV and novel writer.

Life

Maja Ilisch studied public librarianship at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences and then completed an apprenticeship as a specialist bookseller (IHK). After several positions in the book trade, publishing and library business, Maja Ilisch now lives and works as a freelance author with her husband in Stolberg near Aachen .

Among other things, she worked as an author for the TV series Richter Barbara Salesch ( SAT.1 ) and Das Familiengericht ( RTL ). The fantastic radio play series Die Legende von Mythrâs (2010/2011 at Hörplanet, Osnabrück) was co-designed by her.

Her debut novel Das Puppenzimmer was published in 2013 by Dotbooks . In 2018 she published the gas light mystery novel The Mirrors of Kettlewood Hall with Droemer Knaur . Her first high fantasy novel The Fake Seal , the prelude to a trilogy, was published by Klett-Cotta Verlag in 2019 and will continue from 2020.

In addition to her work as a writer, Maja Ilisch founded the Ink Circle Fantasy Authors Circle in 2001 , a forum for fantasy authors that she still looks after as an admin. She is also a member of the Fantastic Authors Network .
