Majestic Vanguard is a metal band from Sweden whose music belongs musically to Melodic Metal. Their lyrics are strongly influenced by Christian ideology, which is why the group can be assigned to Christian Metal .

Band history

The band has existed in changing compositions and under different names since the beginning of the nineties. Founded in 1993 as a rock band, they existed until their keyboardist John Lönnmyr left in 1995. During this time, several demo tapes were made. When Peter Sigfridsson was hired as a singer in 2003, nothing stood in the way of a re-establishment and so the melodic metal band "Divine Disciples" was formed.

A demo tape recorded in 2004 led to the collaboration with the label "Rivel Records". As a result, a new member, guitarist Johan Abelson, joined the formation, which was renamed "Majestic Vanguard". Her debut album "Beyond The Moon" was created in spring 2005. Since June 2006, Mark Gunnardo has temporarily taken over the position of lead singer, as Peter Sigfriedsson had to retire due to vocal problems. Since the end of 2006 Peter has been back and since May 2007 there is a new band member. Lars Walfridsson takes over the bass part and Andreas Andersson, who has been rocking the bass up until then, takes over the 2nd guitar.
