Make The Girl Dance is a French duo that produces electronic music . It consists of Greg Kozo, the musician / producer, and Pierre Mathieu, a former TV presenter on M6 , France 2 and Canal + .

Beginnings

Her first single, Baby Baby Baby , which was released in May 2009, is a huge hit, especially the music video causing a sensation. The Paris-based electro-rock duo followed up with Kill me in June 2010 and Wall Of Death in October . With only these three titles they are making a successful tour throughout Europe (Fête de la Musique à Batofar 2010, MTV Party Ostend, in Geneva, Social Club à Paris), but also in Asia (Korea in April 2010 and Beijing, Shanghai and South Korea January 2011) and North America (Webster Hall in New York, Belmont in Montreal). More than their titles, it is the powerful and danceable mixes that make the band popular in clubs.

Videos

Baby baby baby

For their first music video for Baby Baby Baby , the group shot a 4-minute sequence in one of the busiest pedestrian streets in Paris, rue Montorgueil in the second arrondissement of Paris. It shows three young girls walking down the street naked at 2 p.m., playing the song and singing. The clip is the most viewed video on Dailymotion in 2009, with 11 million views.

Kill me

After the first single, the band returns with the video of their second song Kill Me , which was filmed in the USA. They asked, "What would you do if you only had 8 days to live?" The duo shows their answer: They spend all the money that the first video ($ 30,000) brought them in the US in a kind of road movie through the country with sex, drugs and rock'n'roll.

Wall of Death

The video for the third track, Wall Of Death, shows the two of them picking a duck, catching it, slaughtering it, plucking it, gutting it, frying it, eating it and then hanging it up in a club where the dancers blur into chicks in the darkness of the night . Although they deny that the video is viral marketing and controversy, it has caused quite a stir - especially in the duck farming industry. Pierre Mathieu is surprised: "We just wanted to make an absurd video, the story of two guys who go from Paris to the Gers department to get a duck breast. Really, it's an ode to the southwest. What I think of after my daughter the most love is the duck. When someone sees a denunciation, they urgently need to see an ophthalmologist. I like the meat, and the video also says [We love meat]. I know that [the meat] does not end up directly on the plate, one shouldn't be hypocritical. "

Broken Boy Toy

The fourth clip, Broken Boy Toy, is the story of a disturbed young girl (Deborah Révy) who orders dolls from Greg Kozo and Pierre Mathieu on the Internet, introduces herself pregnant by members of the group and gives birth to a baby doll.

Yé Yé (Ooh La La)

The first video from the second album, Yé Yé (Ooh La La) , opens the tour. In it, Greg Kozo lets a yellow ball from California jump to Pierre Mathieu in New York. You can see the ball bouncing through different North American locations: Los Angeles, El Paso, Dallas, Atlanta, DC, Philadelphia, Boston and New York.
