Make a Change… Kill Yourself is a Danish metal band around the musician Ynleborgaz of the band Angantyr . Because of their extremely deep and dark style, they are often classified under the genre Depressive Black Metal . The name of the band was chosen by Ynleborgaz because, according to him, he doesn't want to go under the whole "dark" names of the other black metal bands and present the band's theme.
Band history
In 2004 Ynleborgaz (backwards for Zagrobelny, the musician's last name) and Demonica founded the band Make a Change… Kill Yourself. Shortly thereafter, they signed a record deal with Black Hate Productions, which then released their self-titled debut album Make a Change… Kill Yourself in 2005. In 2007 the album II followed , which only contained two pieces. In 2012 the third album called Fri was released.
style
The music is often characterized by a monotonous guitar sound typical of Black Metal . In its pieces, the project deals with topics such as suicide or loss together with individual, personal and human abysses, and in it usually exceeds the 10-minute limit. The dejected and desperate mood is strengthened by melancholy guitar riffs and desperate vocals.
