Angantyr is a Danish pagan metal band, the only member of which is the musician Ynleborgaz. For concerts, however, the band is supplemented by changing live members.

history

In 1997, Ynleborgaz (backwards for Zagrobelny, the musician's surname) founded Angantyr as a synth and ambient project. Until the first demo tape Endeløs , which was recorded in 1998, the style of music changed to raw Black Metal. The debut album followed in 2000 and is called Kampen Fortsætter . In 2003 it was re-released via Total Holocaust Records. In September 2006 the band played the first three concerts, supported by three live members. This live formation was disbanded in October 2007. In 2013 Angantyr will go on tour again with what is now the third line-up.
