Macro simulation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A macro simulation is a simulation (mostly with the help of electronic data processing, EDP ), the aim of which is to simulate complex processes or situations without considering the individual components in a special way. Such simulations are used, for example, in the coordinated population forecast of the Federal Statistical Office , in astronomy or meteorology , where predictions about future developments are to be made.
