Mal Abrigo is a town in Uruguay .
geography
Mal Abrigo is located in the territory of the Department of San José in its sectors 4 and 7 in the Cuchilla San José . The place is located in the northwest of San José near the western border to the neighboring Colonia . Both the Arroyo Pavón and the Arroyo Coronilla arise northwest of Mal Abrigos . Not far south of the village is the Cerro Pelado . Other named topographical elevations in the area are the Cerro Albornoz in the west southwest, the Cerro Mangrullo in the northwest and the Cerro Mahoma to be found north in the Sierra Mahoma .
Infrastructure
Route 23 and the Montevideo - San José - Colonia railway line run through the town .
