The Arroyo Pavón is a small river located in the area of the Department of San José in the south of Uruguay .
The approximately 90-kilometer-long river rises at a height of about 200 meters above sea level in the Cuchilla Guaycurú . It flows northeast-southwest as a left tributary into the Río de la Plata . Its mouth is a few kilometers east of that of the Río Rosario and not far from that of the Arroyo Cufré . The size of its catchment area is 540 km².
