Malaga (ice cream)
Malaga is a type of ice cream made from cream, sugar and eggs. The specialty of this type of ice cream is the addition of raisins, which have previously been marinated in Malaga wine , a sweet dessert wine . In the case of industrially or commercially produced variants, the Malaga wine is occasionally replaced by cheaper rum .
According to his own statement, the ice cream was invented by Prudente Dimas Mira in the early 1970s in the "Heladeria Mira" ice cream parlor in Málaga . According to this, the original recipe only consists of the three ingredients milk, raisins and Malaga wine , based on a Spanish milk ice cream recipe (in contrast to Italian ice cream, which contains cream). In the late 1970s and early 1980s in particular, it became a trend ice cream in Germany for adults.
