Malaika (band)

Malaika is a South African Afro-Pop band whose style can best be described as Post- Kwaito , Post- Mbaqanga and Neo Soul . The band consists of the three musicians Bongani Nchanga , Jadu Ndaba - both born in Klerksdorp and from the previous band Stouters - and the former teacher Matshediso Mholo , born in Lichtenburg . The band name possibly goes back to the East African song Malaika . From 2008 Malaika appeared as a duo, a record deal was not fulfilled.
