Painter's fleece

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Painter's fleece is a mostly dark gray chemical-resistant fleece , often made from shredded old clothes, which is glued on one side with a plastic film (mostly made of PE) and is sold in rolled up strips. When laid out with the fleece side up, it is used to cover and protect floors (such as parquet) during painting, plastering or cleaning work. It is often made mandatory during construction work in rental apartments.

The fleece is absorbent, the plastic film prevents paint and other liquid materials from penetrating. Fixed with adhesive tape , painter's fleece also increases the slip resistance during work.

Non- woven wallpapers are also known as painter's fleece.
