Mamasa is a Toraja language spoken along the Mamasa River and in the Polewali Mandar administrative district in Sulawesi . It belongs to the Austronesian language family .

The following dialects can be distinguished:

  • Mamasa Utara (North Mamasa)
  • Mamasa Tengah (Central Mamasa)
  • Pattae '(Mamasa Selatan (South Mamasa), Patta' Binuang, Binuang, Tae ', Binuang-Paki-Batetanga-Anteapi)
