Mamed Khalidov (born July 17, 1980 in Grozny ) is a Polish MMA fighter of Chechen descent. Within the KSW he was international light heavyweight champion in 2009 and middleweight in 2015 .

Life

In 1997 Khalidov emigrated from Chechnya to Poland . He learned the Polish language in Wroclaw , then studied at the University of Warmia-Masuria in Allenstein (graduation in the Master of Business Administration course ). On December 21, 2010, he received Polish citizenship .

Khalidov is a member of the martial arts club Berkut Arrachion Olsztyn FC . As a practicing Muslim, he takes a break from training during Ramadan . He is the cousin of Russian MMA fighter Aslambek Saidov , who is also of Chechen descent but resides in Poland.
