Mandarin Daily News

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mandarin Daily News ( Chinese  國語日報  /  国语 日报 , Pinyin Guóyǔ Rìbaò , Zhuyin ㄍ ㄨ ㄛ ˊ ㄩ ˇ ㄖ ˋ ㄅ ㄠ ˋ ) is a Taiwanese newspaper especially for children. The specialty of the Mandarin Daily News is that - unlike in normal newspapers - all texts are annotated with Zhuyin , a shorthand for simplified reading. This means that even people with little knowledge of drawing can read the newspaper.
