Mandarin Daily News
Mandarin Daily News ( Chinese 國語日報 / 国语 日报 , Pinyin Guóyǔ Rìbaò , Zhuyin ㄍ ㄨ ㄛ ˊ ㄩ ˇ ㄖ ˋ ㄅ ㄠ ˋ ) is a Taiwanese newspaper especially for children. The specialty of the Mandarin Daily News is that - unlike in normal newspapers - all texts are annotated with Zhuyin , a shorthand for simplified reading. This means that even people with little knowledge of drawing can read the newspaper.
history
On January 5, 1947, the previous project 國語 小報 / 国语 小报 , Guóyǔ Xiǎobaò, was founded in Beijing , which was a great success at the time, so that on October 25, 1948 the “Mandarin Daily News” project was launched. Later, a language school sponsored by Mandarin Daily News was established where foreigners can learn Chinese.
