Manfred Braun

Manfred Braun (born September 27, 1928 in Gladbeck ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

After graduating from elementary school, Braun attended the technical college for surveying, passed the surveying technician examination there in 1946 and worked as a technical employee from 1946. In 1948 he joined the ÖTV .

Braun joined the SPD in 1966 and was elected chairman of the SPD center-east association and deputy chairman of the SPD city association in Gladbeck. From 1969 to 1974 and from 1976 he was a member of the City Council of Gladbeck and from 1971 to 1974 and from 1976 chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. In 1976 he was commissioner for the duties of the council and the mayor of Gladbeck. In addition to his local political activities, he was chairman of the supervisory board of the non-profit housing company Gladbeck (GWG).

Braun was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from May 28, 1975 to May 31, 1995.
