Mangetsu Hanamura
Mangetsu Hanamura ( Japanese 花 村 萬 月 , Hanamura Mangetsu ; aka: Yoshikawa Ichirō ; born February 5, 1955 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese writer.
Hanamura traveled around Japan by motorcycle after graduating from middle school and made a living doing various jobs. In 1989 he made his debut with the novel Goddu bureisu monogatari , for which he received the Shosetsu Subaru Prize for young writers. In 1998 he was awarded the Akutagawa Prize for the novel Gerumaniumu no yoru , which was filmed by Tatsushi Ōmori in 2005 . In 1999 Rokuro Mochizuki made a film based on his novel Minazuki .
