Manhole ( Japanese マ ン ホ ー ル , Manhōru , Eng . "Gully Hole") is a manga written and drawn by Tsutsui Tetsuya . It was published by Carlsen Manga in Germany .

action

The manga is about a plague that suddenly appeared . This disease is based on an unknown type of parasite. Chief Inspector Ken Mizoguchi ( 溝口 健 ) and his colleague Nao Inoue ( 井上 菜 緒 ) find out that these parasites were probably brought to Tokyo deliberately to infect criminals and punish them with it. However, through a chain of unfortunate circumstances, the infection spreads to the population and threatens to develop into a serious epidemic .

The manga was first published in Japan from 2004 to 2006 by Square Enix in Young Gangan magazine . Translations into French, Chinese and Italian followed. Since January 2012, three volumes of the manga have been published in German by Carlsen Verlag .
