Manigri-Kambolé (also: Manigri , Ana , Edo Nago , Southwest Ede , Kambolé ) is the language of the people of the Kambole .
Manigri-Kambolé belongs to the Benue-Congo language group .
There should only be around 70,000 (SIL 2002) speakers. In Togo there are around 40,000 (SIL 2002) speakers, in Benin around 30,000 (SIL 2002).
In Benin, the speakers of the Manigri-Kambolé live in the Donga Province in the Bassila sub-prefecture south and west of the city of Bassila and in the Bante sub-prefecture south of Bassila. In Togo, the speakers live mainly in the Centrale region in the Tchamba prefecture in the cities of Kambolé and some surrounding villages.
Manigri-Kambolé belongs to the language family of the Ede languages. There is an 87 to 91 percent lexical agreement with Ede Nago and 77 percent with Yoruba and 78 percent with Ife . The language area of the Nanigri-Kanbolé lies on the respective border between Togo and Benin.
