Manuel Frey

Manuel Frey (* 1964 in Bamberg ) is a German historian .

Manuel Frey received his doctorate in 1996 after studying history and sociology at Bielefeld University . In 2008 he completed his habilitation at the Technical University of Dresden with a thesis on collectors, donors and patrons in civil society . He has been working in the cultural sector of the Free State of Saxony since 2002 , as a speaker at the cultural foundation since 2005 and as the deputy director of the foundation since 2008. In 2019 he was appointed director of the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony .
