Mappa Selenographica

The Mappa Selenographica is an atlas of the earth-facing side of the earth's moon . It was published by Wilhelm Beer and Johann Heinrich von Mädler in 1834. He was one of the best of his time. It contained descriptions of the moon formations such as Maria , Berggrillen or the radiation systems of the Tycho crater .
