The Protestant Martin Luther Chapel in the church district Lichtenberg Oberspree the diocese Berlin Evangelical Church Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Oberlausitz was based on plans by architect Gustav Wolf in the Eitel Straße 43 in the local situation Uhlenhorst, in the north of the hamlet of Koepenick , built. Between 1910 and 1918, a settlement in the English country house style for working-class families was built according to plans by Wilhelm Liefert and Erich Peters . The path to the town church, 3 km away, was too far for the believers , so that the desire for a closer place of worship arose.

Building description

The hall church was built on a rectangular floor plan . The New Objectivity continues to have an effect in the form . Covering the structure with a gable roof . The base is as Bossenwerk from limestone formed. The masonry of the walls above is plastered . A wide portal marks the gable , above whose roof there is a large cross . On each side, three windows are combined to form strips. The chapel has no steeple , a small bell hangs on a side wall . In the interior , to the right of the entrance, there is a small organ .
