Country-style ( engl. : Cottage Style) is a building and furnishing style whose appearance emotional, or nostalgic establishes connections to an imaginary country living or holiday, and as a model for the device in old-fashioned country houses cited.

The country house style is characterized by the use of functional and cozy, rustic shapes, "old-fashioned" materials such as brass , zinc , linen , earthenware , clay and enamel , as well as natural materials. In addition to pastel colors , matt surfaces and natural woods, floral motifs and often simple meadow flowers or cereals and vegetables are used. The color scheme is contrasted by polished copper kitchen appliances. The facility gives the viewer the appearance of everyday culture and the feeling of being transported back to rural scenes from days gone by. English cottages are often used as models . Objects with decorations from peasant paintings as well as Shaker furniture and flea market objects are also used. Patinated surfaces are wanted.
