A preaching assignment is also tied to the office of superintendent. Currently (as of March 2017) the office is held by Hans-Georg Furian.
The church district is the sponsor of the church administration office Berlin-Süd-Ost, in which the administrative tasks of the church district and its parishes are carried out.
