María Carámbula

María Paula Carámbula Senblat (born October 31, 1968 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan actress .

Carámbula, whose parents are divorced, is the daughter of the actor and show master Berugo Carámbula and godchild Gabriela Acher s. Her brother is the musician Gabriel Carámbula . The daughter Catalina, born in 1986, comes from a previous marriage of Carámbula. In addition , their son Vito, who came from a former relationship with Pablo Rago , was born in 2002 .

Carámbula began taking acting lessons at the age of 14. Her teachers were initially María Vaner and later Salvador Amore and Julio Chávez . At the age of 18 followed a short period in which she worked as a model. Two years later she made her debut with her father in Todo al 9 . This was followed by roles in telenovelas such as Amándote or Poliladron . She played among other things at the Teatro del Pueblo in the piece Te llevo en la sangre . In 2005 she appeared in the film El buen destino and in 2009 in Cuestión de principios . Currently, in 2011, Carámbula plays on Telefe the Lucía Giuliani in the telenovela El Elegido .
