Marc Heussinger (* 1966 in Bielefeld ) is a German manager .

Life

After attending the Ratsgymnasium , Heussinger studied business administration in Münster . After graduating with a degree in business administration (1993), he worked as a research assistant at the business administration chair for distribution and trade and at the research center for textile industry (FATM) there. He received his doctorate at the beginning of 1998 with a thesis on coordination deficits in the clothing industry.

He joined Aldi Nord as managing director of the branch in Datteln and was responsible for sales as an authorized representative on the board of directors. He has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2011. In January 2013 he replaced Hartmuth Wiesemann on the position of "overall responsible". Heussinger is also on the board of the Markus Foundation . Under his leadership, his deputy Torsten Hufnagel planned the more than five billion euro project “Aniko” (Aldi Nord Instore Concept), in the course of which the 2,300 stores are to be modernized.

In autumn 2017, before a legal dispute between the family shareholders of Aldi Nord, his contract was extended by five years. In September 2018, he gave up his chief position at the Essen headquarters. Torsten Hufnagel took over the post of Chairman of the Board of Directors.
