Marc Odenthal

Marc Odenthal (born January 25, 1991 in Cologne ) is a German judoka who competes in the weight class up to 90 kg.

Odenthal won the silver medal in the weight class up to 73 kg at the U17 European Championships in 2006. In 2007 he won the German U17 championships in the weight class up to 81 kg. After his promotion to the weight class up to 90 kg, he came second in 2008 and won the German U20 championships in 2009 and 2010. In 2011 he won the bronze medal at the U23 European Championships. Odenthal made his international breakthrough in the adult class in 2013 with a victory at the World Cup in Warsaw. At the European Championships in 2013 , he finished fifth in the individual and won bronze with the team. He also received team bronze at the 2013 World Championships , the 2014 European Championships and the 2014 World Championships . In 2015 Odenthal won his first German championship title. In October 2015 he won the Grand Prix in Tashkent. At the 2016 Olympic Games , Odenthal was eliminated in the first round.
