Marcello Andrei
Marcello Andrei (* 1922 in Rome ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter .
Life
Andrei worked as assistant director on two films in the early 1950s and published the documentary Barong , shot in Indonesia in 1956 , which met with great interest. This was followed by a few feature films, initially at long intervals, but they received only moderate reviews. In 1988 he made another documentary film, his last film to date, Aurora Express . Andrei is one of the initiators of the Festival dei Popoli documentary film festival .
