Marco Ehrenfried

Marco Ehrenfried (born November 23,  1991 in Schwäbisch Hall ) is a former German football player .

career

Ehrenfried's football career began at the age of ten. He left the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns in 2012 and played with the Mannheim Bandits in the GFL from 2012 to 2014 before coming back to Schwäbisch Hall.

Ehrenfried, who studied history and sport to become a teacher at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg , became German runner-up with the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns in 2014, 2015 and 2016 (defeats in the final against the Braunschweig Lions ). In 2017 and 2018 he won the German championship title with the team, which was achieved in seasons without defeats. In 2015 he was in the Eurobowl with Schwäbisch Hall , where they also lost to Braunschweig. With the German national team, he won the European Championship in 2014.

At the beginning of November 2018, Ehrenfried announced his decision to withdraw from competitive football in order to devote himself to his future in the teaching profession.
