Marco Poma

Marco Poma (born July 8, 1946 in Milan ) is an Italian director and media producer .

Life

In 1970 Poma received a diploma in painting from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera . After further studies and with the support of the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia , he presented his first documentary there. Two years later he founded Italy's first electronic post production company, "Vid.N". After further documentaries (he received a gold medal from the Italian President for La ricerca dell'identita in 1976 ), he made numerous documentaries, music videos (including for Matia Bazar ) and educational films from 1983 onwards , with a new company for the production and post-production of electronic media since 1993, " Metamorphosi ”, where he has been President and Creative Director to this day (2014). He was also responsible for various television formats such as “Giornale di Videomusic” and “Rock Report” with an affinity for current music. Poma cooperated on a variety of tasks with the "Politecnico", the "Accademia di Belle Arti" and the Lombardy region .

In 1986, his self-written work Mefisto Funk , the first electronic film in his home country, was shown in a few cinemas .

Since the new millennium, Poma has primarily devoted itself to the connection between art and its media processing.
