Marcos Cars (Ireland) was an assembly plant for motor vehicles and thus part of the automotive industry in Ireland .

Company history

The company was founded on October 12, 1967. David Dunne ran it. Initially the seat was in Dublin . He assembled vehicles for which Marcos Cars supplied the parts. The period is given by a source as around 1968 to 1969. Tom Groves, however, states that he worked there from around 1967 to 1970.

The company was last based in Naas . It was disbanded on July 16, 1999.

The company manufactured the Mini Marcos and the Marcos 3 liter .

From the smaller 20 to 30 pieces and from the larger only a handful, possibly two.
