Marcus Flaccinius Marcellus

Marcus Flaccinius Marcellus was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 3rd century AD .

An inscription on an altar, which was found at Brocolitia Castle and which is dated to the first third of the 3rd century, shows that Marcellus was prefect of the Cohors I Batavorum , which was stationed in the province of Britannia at that time .
