Marcus Jacob Monrad.

Marcus Jacob Monrad (born January 19, 1816 in Nøtterøy ; † December 30, 1897 ) was a Norwegian Lutheran theologian and philosopher. From 1851 until his death he was professor of philosophy at the Kgl. Frederiks Universitet , where he had previously worked as a lecturer (from 1845). He is considered an extremely conservative Hegelian . Politically, he supported the union with Sweden and fought against parliamentarism .
