Marcus Mombauer
Marcus Maria Mombauer (* 1966 in Bensberg ) is a German local politician of the CDU . He has been the full-time mayor of the city of Rösrath since 2008 .
Mombauer finished his training as a bricklayer in 1983 . Then he did an apprenticeship as an office clerk . While working as a contract soldier , he was stationed in Virginia for four years . He completed his career in the Bundeswehr as a lieutenant in the reserve .
After graduating from high school, he studied at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Cologne , graduating with a degree in administrative management . From 1992 to 2008, Marcus Mombauer worked for the Rhineland Regional Council. There he was last released as chairman of the staff council. He was elected Mayor of Rösrath on September 21, 2008 with 44 percent of the vote. On May 25, 2014 Mombauer was re-elected with 52.6% of the votes cast.
